It is sad and painful and not relieved in the least by the fact that "They are the Birds." I hope that I haven't tied the little book up so that it would be silly. If Ms. Place would like to read these 10 short shorts, I would be most appreciative. I have no thought to become her bough-mate, but I do respect her thinking.
